Early Literacy Stages eBook

FREE Early Literacy Stages EBook (70+pages!) from Wildflower Ramblings #literacy #preschool #free

Do you find it overwhelming to navigate through blogs or Pinterest for literacy activities?

Do you find that all of the alphabet and reading activities seem to inter-mingle?

Are you confused about where to begin with simple learning activities for your child?

I wrote the Early Literacy Stages eBook to make sense of some of these questions.  The development of early literacy skills progresses in stages.  Beginning concepts should be taught before introducing more difficult ones.  By following a proper developmental progression, we assist a child’s natural learning capabilities.

Early Literacy Stages defines the six levels of literacy developmental learning and gives practical ideas (with examples and pictures!) for how to teach each level to your child or student.  This helps you create activities that are appropriate for your child’s learning stage.  I wrote blog posts on each of the six stages, but have updated and expanded each of these chapters for the eBook.

The Six Stages of Early Literacy

  1. Uppercase letter recognition
  2. Tactile uppercase letter writing
  3. Utensil prewriting and uppercase letter writing
  4. Lowercase letter recognition (and matching uppercase with lowercase letters)
  5. Lowercase phonetic sounds
  6. Lowercase letter writing

I am thrilled to be sharing this eBook with all of you and I hope that it is a great resource to teachers, parents, and care-givers of our precious little learners!  Early Literacy Stages includes over 70 pages of learning resources that I know will benefit you in teaching the child in your care.

There is a clear Table of Contents, so you will not feel overwhelmed and you can use each of the chapters when it will be beneficial to you and your family. Here are a couple sample pages, to give you an idea of what you will find in the Early Literacy Stages eBook:
