Introducing Fine Arts Together: A Charlotte Mason-Inspired Curriculum for Families

Welcome to Fine Arts Together Volume 1! This is more than just a family study—it’s an invitation to make family time intentional, meaningful, and filled with beauty. Inspired by Charlotte Mason’s philosophy, Fine Arts Together allows both homeschooling and non-homeschooling families to gather four times a week and explore the wonders of scripture, art, music, and poetry. Think of it as setting a “feast of learning” before your family, where every day becomes an opportunity to glorify God and connect with one another.

“We spread an abundant and delicate feast in the programs and each small guest assimilates what he can.” Charlotte Mason

Spreading the feast of learning is a core value of Charlotte Mason’s educational philosophy, which is based on the idea that parents should provide a variety of good ideas for their children to choose from, and allow the children to internalize what they find most interesting. This is similar to a church fellowship dinner, where guests bring covered dishes and choose what they want to eat.

Mason’s philosophy is based on the idea that children should have vital interests in many areas, and that the goal of education is to “set their feet in a large room”. She believed that a lack of intellectual engagement was a problem, and that children should be given the opportunity to develop a variety of interests.

Picture this: cozying up with your children to marvel at great art, humming hymns and folk songs together, and sharing meaningful conversations about the world’s great creators. Fine Arts Together is about being present, letting inspiration sink in, and seeing the world through the lens of God’s beauty.

Here’s what makes Fine Arts Together special:
