We are excited to share our next Bible craft with you today!!  We are making crafts through the Bible, and this week we read about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and how they stood up for their belief in YHWH, the one true God!

This Bible activity is part of our Crafts through the Bible series.  We are reading through the Bible and doing some simple, Reggio-inspired crafts and activities from the amazing God’s Little Explorers Preschool curriculum! Our simple torn paper art collages are a fun example of what children can create when you give them the materials and then step back to see what their minds create!

I set a large piece of contact paper in front of each of them and taped it down, so the sticky side could be up.  Then, I gave them each some different fire-colored (red, orange, yellow) crepe paper and tissue paper.  Then the wanted to cut and glue, so we got out our awesome preschool scissors (one of May’s first times cutting!) and glue.  They cut some orange construction paper.  John ended up putting more (blue) tissue paper on his creation, but he explained that sometimes very hot fire can be blue!  So true :)  They had a lot

We stuck their creations to our big kitchen window.  They were proud of their work and wanted to show daddy when he got home!  This was a fun, and longer than I expected, activity that ignited their creativity!!  This simple torn paper art can be used for many themes, books, or inspirations!
