tissue paper flower art
The kids enjoyed making this simple tissue paper flower art. I showed them how I was making mine, and then let them create however they wanted! I love presenting an idea for them and sitting back to see what my children will create with their capable fingers and creative minds! Giving them tissue paper squares, glue, paper, and scissors, and letting them build whatever they wanted!

This craft was to celebrate the beauty of God’s Creation, which was the theme of the week for the God’s Little Explorers Preschool Curriculum. We also read A Seed is a Promise by Claire Merrill and learned about how a seed is a promise of a new life!
Invitation to Create
Their supplies included little squares of tissue paper squares, glue, scissors, and a piece of paper. I set out our beautiful potted flower plant (that I haven’t killed!) so they could have some inspiration! May decided to cut hers up, while John wrote his name on his as well!
I love to see what they’ll make — a gave a little direction, but did not tell them that theirs had to look like my idea of a “flower”. You can see more of my ideas about What is art? and Rethinking arts and crafts.
An easy child-led project with beautiful results!
