DSC04133Fall is my second favorite season.  Spring, of course, is my first.  I love watching the plants peeking out of the earth.  But fall.  Many flowers are still in bloom, or at their end.  Why is it so beautiful to watch all of the plants die?  God is so glorious, even the plants fading and animals slowly stopping, or beginning their quiet, hibernating time, is gorgeous.  The colors of blue and gray in the sky.  The flowers that were once vibrant are beginning now to dull, a layered brown.  Coats, but still some sun.  Stillness, our last walk down to the flower gardens.  Wandering hands and fingers, exploring texture and seeds and insects and bees and chickens and colors and each other.  A time to wonder and enjoy and revel in His neverending beauty.
