our weather chart {for tot school}
I was in search of the best weather chart out there for a 2-3 year old and I found it! We use this to begin to understand thermometers, as well as to encourage excitement about thunder and lightning. My husband is the big science guru who understands the weather, so he and my son have had many “rain/thunder/lightning” lectures, so John actually loves the thunder, but when I first made this I thought it would be helpful in keeping storms and rain “fun.”
You can find it over for {free} at Rowdy in Room 300!
Of course I will do a full calendar time with my son when he is older, but this works for us for now. (We will be using a combination of {free} materials from Confessions of a Homeschooler here and here , 1plus1plus1equals1, and Homeschool Creations — so check out those links if you need to have a more extensive calendar time with your preschooler or kindergartener!)
We check the temperature and the weather and that’s it. Right now this is hanging on the outside of his door. (You can see our letters and bible verses below.)
And that’s it. I hope this helps you. Go over to Rowdy in Room 300 to make your own!
