Today I am sharing my Elementary Printables Pack for Owl Moon!  Yesterday, I shared my Owl Moon preschool printables pack over at Hip Homeschool Moms!  Check it out if you haven’t gotten them yet!  While I was making them, I realized that I wanted to delve into the meatier aspects of Jane Yolen’s beautiful writing.

Yolen uses onomatepiea and metaphors so beautifully.  Owl Moon can be used to help children understand the definitions of these concepts and it can also be used as a tool to help children use these literary elements in their own writing.

My Owl Moon Elementary Printables Pack includes practice with the following:

  1. Exploring Similes & Metaphors
  2. Exploring Onomatopoeia
  3. Handwriting Practice
  4. Dictation Page
  5. Teacher Guide

I hope you can use this Owl Moon Book Inspired Elementary Printable Pack with your child!
