celebrating motherhood: four generations

May 11, 2014

No moment in life can prepare you for that first glimpse, the first kiss, the first breath, the first squeeze, the first smell, the first sigh of relief, the first hug, the first tiny feet and chubby fingers, the first.  Oh my son made me a mom.  He filled my heart fuller than I could ever imagine.  I am so blessed to have him.  And my daughter, oh, she completes our lives.

John and May are the lights of my life and I pray to God that I can be the mom they deserve.  I pray for patience and wisdom and humility and grace.

I am so blessed to have both my mom and my grandmother in my and my children’s lives.  They are both amazing and Godly women to whom I look up to.

This picture was taken a couple days after the birth of my mother’s first grandchild and my grandmother’s second great-grandchild.  Me, John, G/GG, and Nana.

Here we are at Thanksgiving, when May was only two months old: me, G/GG, May, and my mom.
