simple play in the backyard

DSC08029We order a couple boxes of chips from Amazon every few of months (mostly for my husband’s lunches). This time, when it arrived, they were in the hugest cardboard box I’ve ever seen.  It was comical.  All for some chips.  There was so much empty space in the massive box, that they had to include tons of their brown cardboard-ish paper.

I showed John how long it was and he was so excited.  He mowed with it, tackled it, ran with it as a cape, chased his sister with it.  They played for over an hour.

Free, imaginative, easy play time.

You have such a beautiful backyard! Such a great idea for making a fun play time out of a silly old box. It is beautiful what kids get so excited about :)

They look like they are having so much fun! I think I would have been more excited about that huge cardboard box! ;)
