To say we have a lot of leaves to rake/blow is an understatement. Utter ridiculousness. My husband has been blowing them with his (very old) blower, and of course John wanted to join in, so John has his own homemade blower pack and blower.

But the kids loooved playing in the leaves and they have literally provided hours of entertainment.  I raked a pile at the bottom of our slide, so that was super fun too.

Our burning bush had some beautiful little red seeds, which May loved and daintily played with for over an hour while John raked.

Our sandhill cranes, Bob and Betty and their child, Shamou (named by John), visit us every morning while we have breakfast.  They are so gorgeous.

And the little felt bags were made by me about an hour before trick or treating time, from felt and a glue gun.  The kids had a fun time even though it was freezing!  Fall, you were here, and now the leaves are gone, and winter here we come….
