Arctic Sensory Bin

March 13, 2014

I am so excited to share our Arctic Sensory Bin at Hip Homeschool Moms today.  We love bringing the snow inside on these bitter cold days.  And adding in whales and a walrus for Letter W week has helped with our literacy work too!

We have been having TONS of fun with artic play indoors this winter. Although we don’t have a nice deep sensory bin like you use, my toddler was more than thrilled to have me bring in a mixing bowl full of snow, give him a baking sheet with 1″ raised edge, some utensils, and let him go. He supplemented with his own toys – some play kitchen items, cars, trucks….and had fun playing with the snow…then ice…then water.

And what a good idea to incorporate your weekly letter into this playtime :)
